The French Quarter…

… has stolen my heart. Yes, I’m in New Orleans. Woo! I’m visiting my aunt. Well, actually right now I’m in Belle Chasse. But that’s close enough. We went to the River Walk and the French Quarter today and I only wish I could have enjoyed myself more. I was on edge the whole time because we had two kids with us and it was a little nerve wracking. You know, with all the “strange” people and all. But even with all the tension, my heart was still stolen. It’s so artsy and cultural. It’s definitely my kind of place. And I thought I would like New York. Yeah. Well, I also took some shots on the way down. And I got a couple good ones of the skyline. And the Super Dome or whatever it’s called. And I wish I could have gotten some more, but you know, kids and all.

OH and we also ate at this great restaurant last night. It’s called Stars and Stripes Grill. It was DA BOMB! They have the BEST hamburgers. And today we ate at The Market Cafe I think was the name. It was great too. We sat outside and they had a live jazzy/soul kind of band. OH man it was great. The only thing I’ve noticed is that they don’t have any sweet tea. Anywhere. Kinda strange. I thought we’d be close enough to Mississippi and Alabama that they would have some. But when I went to Florida, they didn’t have any there either. But then again, Floridians aren’t really Southerners anyway. JK JK for any Floridians out there! Just kidding. I dread tomorrow because I’ll have to go back to Alabama. Ugh.

Anywho, I’ll go now. TTFN!
